Iranian filmmaker Yousef Kargar has been chosen as a jury member at the 4th edition of the International Festival Cinema Povero in Italy.
Kargar will be judging at the festival held September 20-23, 2017 in the Italian commune of Ispra.
Born 1985 in Urmia, Yousef Kargar has directed and written films such as ‘Elegy’ and ‘Requiem for a Night’.
He has been present at around 80 international events and has gathred more than 10 awards for his film ‘Elegy’.
The International Festival "Cinema Povero" was established in 2014 with the objective of contributing to the knowledge and diffusion of the cinematographic art and to celebrate independent film.
The cultural event aims to give visibility to artists who, with their creative expression through cinema, can produce works at zero cost or low budget.
The competition section of the festival comprehends two sections Short Film and Documentaries.
